Life is Good...

I am at my computer, glass of Red Truck wine, steaks marinating, potatoes cut and ready for roasting (olive oil, garlic, pepper and salt), zucchini ready to be diced.
It was a beautiful day today. I was in my office for most of it but I am going to try to take advantage of the evening part of the day while I can.
Today was the kind of busy day where I don't get to check in on my bloggy friends and that was HARD. I have a ton of work to do for this event in July so I have a feeling there will be more days like this. I hate missing reading them though because I love the fact that there are people out there that are over emotional about books and movies, that are extremely scarcastic to their husbands and often look at the world like I do. It seemed rare to me till I started blogging. Now I know there are other crazies out there like me. :) Off to enjoy the great outdoors.

PS. The poison ivy, still brutal I officially give up on the back garden. Bring in a landscaper if I have to sell my blood for it.

Found my way here from the SiTS site. :)

I totally know what you mean about finding people with common interests now that you're a blogger. I always felt a bit weird and "odd woman out" but I've found so many wonderfully sarcastic women on the internet that I'm glad I'm not alone! LOL!

I used to think I was the funniest person I knew! Ha, now I know better that I have experienced blog world!

I know what you mean about not having time to read and catch up on other's blogs. I just caught up on a few days of yours and
*I am totally too involved in books and cannot read scary ones.
*your desk is very neat and needs some Cape Cod magnets which I may have to send you.
*I was trying to read the front of your football shirts and thought it said, "chicken's cider".
*asshats is a great word that I will now add to my vocabulary.

Hope your dinner was tasty. Opelio season must start tomorrow night! Yippee!

Hi it's me again! I thought I would drop by and say hi and not be rude and ask dumb questions. When did you get in the poison ivy? A friend of mine got into it really bad while she was fishing and it took her months to get rid of it. I think she had to go to the doctor even, but I'm not sure. I don't even know what it looks like :( I am very afraid tho!

OK...let's get real here. I've been seeing you on a ton of blogs, and I will be presumptuous and say I'm sure you've seen me. If not, hey--I'm Leigh Anne.

But here's the get real part...I somehow ended up here (via our growing circle of bloggy gals) and saw that you have Dooce listed on your roll. OK, cool...I dig her. We are totally opposite in every way possible, Heather and I, but I still get my Docoe on...heck, I'm a Dooce Disciple of sorts.

BUT...here it comes...you TOTALLY have GEORGE! listed, too. Who doesn't love some cousin o' Dooce? I even follow him on Twitter. Don't know him, but I'm the secret president of his fan club, based on a post he did months ago, entitled, "BYU Dry Hump Songs." I tell you, that's just good blogging. Mormons and faux sex. Yep. This evangelical knows prime stuff when she sees it.

OK...I'll stop now before you totally freak. Is it too late?

It was indeed a beautiful day ... and there is a reason for it ... because it was my birthday ... ok, maybe that wasn't the main reason, but still.

Hope the steaks were good!

I am so pleased that you had a great day, now I am about to take this average day and make it a great day, too.

Have you ever tried frozen gummy bears? It is like an orgasm from your freezer directly to your mouth. Sweet, huh? Perhaps I should have sent that in an e-mail.

I do just love the battling blogging brothers. Alliteration! lol

My not blogging about Kai anymore really has nothing to do with what Jared said, although I do value his opinion. I need to stop dwelling on him for my own sake. It's time.

Ok... I know how you feel. I get it a few times a year and never learn. I use Ivarest.. its made by Blistex. I buy this stuff in bulk and swear by it! It dries that oil up and soothes the itch at the same time. I promise... this stuff is worth it. I wish I could get paid for telling as many people as I do. try it and let me know... Good luck and DONT SCRATCH! Susie H

You have to join us in the late night blogger club. It's not really a club, but whatever. I rarely find time to check in on the bloggers during the day. So, once the kids are in bed I stay up until midnight reading and writing and commenting!
