Please look at the pics and tell me what I should do about the color for the walls. I need my kitchen back.
Also, I hate my garden right now for giving me poison ivy. I know there are MANY, MANY worse things in life but right now I am so on edge because of the itchiness I am about to jump out of my skin. Also I am forced to type with my forearms lifted so I don't get my pilfered steroid cream on the desk. So, I decided that beer was medicinal this evening. I may need a few doses though to really get the circulation going. My drug of choice...Sam Adams Summer Ale. I am usually more of a micro gal myself but this is probably my favorite summer brew. I am going to leave you with that thought and the hope that you will look at my kitchen pics while I try to not go insane before the alcohol kicks in.

Deepest sympathies. Attacks of poison ivy are one of the nastiest things that can happen to anyone.
**shudders with horror here**
Picture this......
1940ish grey blue or greenish.
Can you see it?
Have you been to Behr.com color picker?
Try it, you'l like it.
Yes, beer is very medicinal and should be used to cure a great many things. I'm going below to comment on the walls.
Beer as Medicine?
Damn, you're smart.
Nice one on the beer Dr America! Hope you feel less itchy soon.
First, sucky about the rash! If the beer doesn't work, go for the hard stuff.
Second, your kitchen... I think you can get away with navy blue if your have a bright kitchen. The white trim will stand out nicely. Just get painting because when you are done, you can organize your kitchen and feel great about it!
After reading your last tag, "Don't over think it! It is just paint!"
Wear oven mitts to work today so you don't scratch a hole in your arm! :) I am off to the Duck Boats in Boston with 60 3rd graders. Oy!
Poison Ivy = evil
Red kitchen = awesome
In all honesty, I dunno if it's an age thing for me or what but I couldn't seem to see beyond the script superimposed over the photos! But I think greens are very relaxing. I think dark blue would look good, too. I took the easy way out and painted mine taupe...it's an easy-on-the-eyes color and just about everything goes with it!
Trust me, Scargosun - You do NOT want my suggestions for paint and colors ... I would probably tell you to put up posters of the Rolling Stones and Christina Applegate ... or dogs playing poker.
Go with the navy blue. You won't regret it. The white cabinets will tone down the "darkness" of the navy.
When my grandma was little, she ATE Poison Oak. Thus, my mom, my aunt, my sister and myself have this AWFUL huge allergic reaction to it. Once I got it on my shoulder, up my neck and over half my face and had to miss school. AWFUL!
And I promise to look at your kitchen pics ASAP!!
