Still Alive, Barely

I am still alive but buried under work. I have not given up blogging and I will try to post from home more often but our office is freezing in the house. :)

Here is something funny I thought about the other day.

When I drop off UPS envelopes in the drop box at work, I am very careful to make sure that my keys are not in the hand that is dropping off the envelope because I am scared beyond belief that I will drop my keys in the box and have to sit around until 7pm when the driver shows up to get my keys. I seriously think hard about this on an almost daily basis...

Is it subliminal denial coz you fancy the driver? :)

Actually, I am always that way when I lock my front door and get into the car. I know I have locked it but I am never convincingly sure!

That totally sounds like me. I always make sure that before I even get out of the car, that I have my keys in my pocket.

I would be scared of that too. I'm always paranoid of my cell phones falling out of my lap every time I get out of the car at a patient's house. It's happened plenty of times so I'm always scared.

I have the same fear too. although my keys are currently missing but I know I lost them in my house.

We're in the middle of packing to move and I'm afraid they may have ended up in one of the hundreds of boxes already packed, or gone out with the trash - but they've been missing for more than a week.

My friend Becky (the one who thought Parson Brown was a color) DID that!!!
I think of you whenever the news people talk about the weather over up around there.

Think Spring.

I am this way too ... because I've done stupid things like this far too many times in my life.

Lol I do that, too, especially when I go throw the garbage out, I'm scared I'll throw my keys out, too, by mistake.

Over the last year i have developed a fear of stairs, i had two MASSIVE stacks last year (damn alcohol) and now have a permanent dent in my butt bone. Now when i walk down stairs i look at every step and place my foot down.
It is funny how you take being able to walk down stairs, unconsciously, looking ahead and not down, i miss it!

I'm always scared I'm going to get out of my car, keys in hand, and drop them down one of those rectangular storm grates. And the ones that are deep and have water in the bottom.

Stinks to be too busy, but we'll all be checking in with you.

I have the grip of death on my keys anytime I walk over a sewar grate in the city.

Sounds like you need to drop your mail at a post office, then if you drop your keys in, you can just ask the "friendly" people behind the desk.

I always check and double check for my keys because I have locked them in my car too many times.

Stay warm!

Yup, I guess AAA can't help with that. Might be best to use those things called pockets, lol. However, when I put my own keys in my pocket, I can't find them...
